Sriram pioneered the concept of heritage walks in Chennai, with his first such event, focusing on Music in Mylapore, taking place in December 1999. Since then, Past Forward’s bespoke walks have become an integral part of the city’s heritage landscape. Planned in a different locality on a Sunday each month, these walking tours, carefully crafted after repeated visits and prolonged study of each locality. What you get in these walks is a panoramic history of the locality, including buildings, people and events, narrated with sufficient humour, emotion and passion to keep you riveted.
